Birthdays and bad bellies.

I was having tummy trouble, I thought it was related to the Brussel sprouts and it may have been somewhat, but my husband ended up having to take a day off work due to tummy troubles and my other kids have it now. So I guess it's just a little bug. One of my twins has something going on, I think it's teeth maybe mixed with the belly thing. She's been fighting a fever for a few days and just really miserable. We haven't been getting much sleep. Our 3rd born turned 9 on Tuesday! He wanted Burger King for lunch and a marble cake.. I passed on lunch. As much as those burgers looked and smelled so good, I knew that was too far. I did have cake, a small slice and it was delicious. It was also like 350 calories and 33g carbs. Ugh. Tried to sneak a workout in because I really needed it but with a sick kid and the boys needing 1 thing after another, I only got 20 minutes in before I had to call it. Wednesday was rough. You have to try this!

I decided I was going to add exercise to my routine and I have, but a couple days ago I found the most fun workouts, ever!! I've always found myself incredibly bored with typical workout videos, a bunch of grueling exercises that make me want to shut it off and go eat a donut. So I hit youtube and I do like the popsugar ones, but even that was getting old and boring. So I was thinking, well what if it was exercise choreographed to my favorite songs? I typed in "feel it still dance exercise" (Feel it still by Portugal. The Man is my favorite song, maybe ever) and the first video to come up was this one by The Fitness Marshall, after I got past my hysterical laughing watching it the first time I decided to try it and guess what?! It's so freaking fun. I look and feel like a total dork, but a dork having fun. It's only 3 minutes but I was sweating after 3 minutes, I ended up doing it a second time and a third. I want to run a 5k!

That is something I never in a million years thought I'd say! I hated running. I hated most all exercise. But I have been ENJOYING it so much! Maybe because it's kid free me time, maybe because I feel like a million bucks after, maybe because I'm really tired of being fat. I don't know. But I'm glad for this change. So I'm going to start "training" for it, following this .Starting today! It's rainy today, I'll be slopping through the mud but I'm gonna do it!! My goal is to be ready by October to do a zombie 5k! I bought new shoes yesterday for running, an OK pair of Fila's. I had researched best shoes for running and went to the store and grabbed them and - hated them! My feet, do not fit in Nike's. At all. I tried on every pair they had and they were super uncomfortable, I tried regular, wide, a size bigger, size smaller. Nope. I tried ASICS, Saucony, new balance. Nope. Hated them all!
